Nulls Brawl Update Sept

Nulls Brawl Update: New Brawlers Cosmo & Vince, Brawler Blast, Duolingo Event, Buffies and More

The latest Nulls Brawl update brings a major change to the way players unlock Brawlers, along with two new Mythic Brawlers Cosmo and Vince, a special Duolingo collaboration, new Skins, Buffies, game modes, and several gameplay changes. One of the biggest changes in this update is the replacement of the old Starr Road with the new Brawler Blast system. So stay updated and get the Nulls Brawl on your mobile to enjoy always the latest update as soon it comes.

Nulls Brawl Update Sept 1

Brawler Blast Replaces Starr Road

The old Starr Road system is being replaced with Brawler Blast, changing the way players unlock new Brawlers. Instead of having the same level of control over which Brawler they want, players will receive random Brawler options based on rarity after collecting enough Credits.

Once enough Credits are collected, players will enter the Brawler Blast screen. There, different Brawlers of a specific rarity will appear, and players will tap the screen to discover which Brawler they are going to receive.

How Brawler Blast Works

The new system adds an extra progression element to Brawler unlocking. Players can receive Gem fragments while hitting and eliminating Brawler cutouts during the Blast. These fragments can increase the progression of the Brawler being unlocked. The bonus can range from an additional Power Level to much bigger rewards.

RequirementCollect enough Credits
Brawler OptionsRandom Brawlers based on rarity
Bonus ProgressionGem fragments
Minimum RewardExtra Power Level
Maximum ExampleLevel 11 Brawler with additional progression
Possible ExtrasBuffie, Hypercharge, Gear, Star Power or Gadget

The better the progression reward, the rarer it will be. This means that unlocking a Brawler can now come with additional rewards instead of simply giving players the Brawler itself. In some cases, players will also be able to choose a Brawler from the options shown at the end of the Blast. There can be between two and four choices, and the selected Brawler receives the bonus progression earned during the Blast.

If most Brawlers of a certain rarity have already been collected, fewer options will appear. When only one Brawler remains, that Brawler will automatically be selected while players can still receive the same possible progression rewards.

Chose Brawler with Brawler Blast

In some Brawler Blast situations, players will get the opportunity to choose between multiple Brawlers. The screen can show two to four Brawlers, allowing you to select the one you prefer. The number of available choices depends on how many Brawlers of that rarity you still have left to unlock. If there is only one Brawler remaining, it will be selected automatically. However, the progression reward available from the Brawler Blast remains the same.

Free Credits Before the Update

There is also an important change for players who are currently working toward a Brawler. When the new update arrives, some players may not be able to collect the Brawler they were working toward. To compensate for this change, 1,500 Credits will be available for free in the Shop. Players can claim them now or save them until the update arrives. The update is planned for September 1.

New Nulls Brawl Brawlers

The update introduces two new Mythic Brawlers: Cosmo and Vince. Both Brawlers have different mechanics and are connected to new locations and stories within the game.

New Brawler Cosmo Vince

Cosmo – New Mythic Brawler

Cosmo is described as the smartest robot scientist in the game. He belongs to a new trio and works as the host of the Starr Park Observatory. Despite his intelligence, Cosmo still cannot understand how the laws of physics work around Brawlers. However, he has figured out how to use his unique attacks. His basic attack fires projectiles that orbit around in a circle. As the projectiles move farther away from each other, they become larger and deal more damage.

Cosmo’s Super

Cosmo’s Super fires a magnet that attaches itself to an enemy. The magnet then attracts the projectiles fired by Cosmo and his teammates.

Vince – Bug-Themed Mythic Brawler

Vince is the second new Brawler coming to Nulls Brawl. He works at the Creepy Cafe, located next to Juju’s Oddities shop. His character is closely connected to bugs. Vince can spawn caterpillars around himself, and these caterpillars can turn into moths when players walk over them or shoot them. The moths are important because they make Vince’s Super stronger.

Vince’s Attacks and Super

Vince’s main attack is straightforward: he throws a coffee mug at a target and deals damage. If the enemy has already been hit by Vince’s Super, the target will take additional damage. His Super releases the moths that he has collected. The more moths Vince has, the stronger his Super becomes, with a maximum limit of 20 moths.

Nulls Brawl x Duolingo Collaboration

One of the most unexpected parts of the update is the collaboration between Nulls Brawl and Duolingo. The Duolingo Owl will appear in the game as a special boss, bringing a new classroom-themed mode and a community event.

New Duolingo Boss Mode

The new boss mode takes place in Duo’s classroom. Up to 20 players can participate in the same battle, making it one of the largest player counts introduced for a mode in the update. The battle begins with Duo asking players a question. Players then have to move toward the area containing the correct answer.

  • Correct answer: Players receive a battle buff.
  • Wrong answer: Players take damage and may even be eliminated.
  • Player count: Up to 20 players.
  • Location: Duo’s classroom.

The collaboration also includes a community event focused on Duolingo and the back-to-school theme. The Duo community event starts on September 19, and Duolingo will also run an event on its own app on the same day. Players can expect special cosmetics for both Nulls Brawl and Duolingo, along with Chaos Drops and Spike for free.

Back-to-School Skins

The update brings a large collection of new Skins inspired by school and academy themes. There will be two different schools during the season:

  1. Royal Academy
  2. Monster Academy

Royal Academy Skins

The Royal Academy content includes Principal Nani as a Brawl Pass Skin, along with Head Teacher Nani and Queen Nani as color variations. Other characters joining the school theme include:

  • Drum Major Najia
  • Academy Ollie
  • Academy Mandy

Academy Mandy is described as an exchange student from the Monster Academy.

Monster Academy Skins

Monster Academy brings Head Coach Hank as another Brawl Pass Skin, with Trainer Hank and Team Captain Hank as color variations. Players can also get Trash Goblin Darryl, continuing the unusual school-themed collection. Both Brawl Pass Skins can be obtained through Brawl Pass Plus. The Royal Academy season begins in September.

Brawl-O-Ween Skins

October brings the return of the Brawl-O-Ween season with another collection of themed Skins. The Brawl Pass includes Fortune Teller P, along with Mr. Psychic and Mystic P as color variations. Another Brawl Pass Skin is Cursed Shade, which comes with Jolly Shade and Creepy Shade variations.

The update will also introduce ghostly Skins for some Buffies in the Shop. These will initially be released for the Gift Shop and Mortuary Trio, with more designs planned if they perform well.

New Buffies and Brawler Changes

Buffies are another major part of this update. Several Brawlers are receiving new or improved Buffies that change how their attacks, Supers and abilities work.

Poco Buffies

Poco receives several changes through his Buffies. His Tuning Fork now requires allies to stay near him for healing. With the Buffie active, healing allies also increases their reload speed. Protective Tunes creates an area that removes debuffs from allies and makes them immune to death while the effect remains active. The Buffie increases the area’s size and duration. Poco’s attack will now always heal allies, while Da Capo increases the healing amount. His Buffie can also increase allies’ Super charge rate when they are at full health, while the Buffied version of Screeching Solo can briefly silence enemies.

El Primo Buffies

El Primo is also getting several Buffie improvements and his Suplex can now make him dash, while the Buffied version allows him to slam enemies into the ground and deal area damage. Asteroid Belt can block projectiles for two seconds, and the Buffied version can charge El Primo’s Super when a projectile is destroyed. Other changes affect El Fuego, Meteor Rush, and his Hyper Buffie, making his attacks larger and adding fire effects or a shield depending on the ability.

Amber Buffies

Amber’s oil mechanics are receiving several changes. The oil created by her Super can now remain on the floor until it is burned. Fire Starters creates a barrel of oil that spreads oil when it explodes. With the Buffie, Amber can deploy two barrels. Other changes improve Amber’s movement, fire duration, reload speed and the way oil spreads between Brawlers. Her Hyper Buffie also allows her main attack to set enemies on fire.

Gus Buffies

Gus receives changes to several abilities. Kooky Popper can make enemies lose ammo when Buffied. Soul Switcher throws a spirit that knocks enemies back and later becomes a healing spirit. With the Buffie, Soul Switcher can create a spirit for every Brawler it hits.Other changes improve the movement of spirits and can increase the movement speed of allies. Gus’s Hyper Buffie also makes his attack larger and able to pierce walls.

Chuck Rework and Buffies

Chuck is receiving a bigger gameplay rework. At the beginning of a match, Chuck will now have four Super charges. Every time he places a pole or dashes to one, one charge is used. He will no longer automatically charge his Super. In exchange, his main attack becomes slightly faster and stronger. His Buffies also receive several changes, including new effects for Rerouting, Ghost Train, Pit Stop, Tickets Please, and his Hypercharge.

Shade Buffies

Shade is the final Brawler covered in the Buffie changes. The Buffied version of Long Arms pulls enemies toward the center of the attack. Jump Scare can now jump a short distance and scare Brawlers in an area. Other Buffies improve movement, Super duration and Gadget cooldown. Shade’s Hypercharge now heals him while he is inside a wall, although it no longer guarantees a critical hit. His Hyper Buffie increases critical damage and expands the critical damage area by 50%.

New Hypercharges

The update also introduces Hypercharges for Nori and Wendy. Nori immediately receives 10 fish counts and can knock enemies upward when diving with his Super. Wendy gets improvements to her shield generator, allowing it to have more health and absorb more damage.

Improved Brawler Selection Screen

The Brawler selection screen is getting a useful quality-of-life improvement. The new screen displays more Brawlers and is easier to navigate. A search bar has also been added, making it quicker for players to find the Brawler they want.

New Hide and Seek Mode

  • A new Hide and Seek game mode is coming to Nulls Brawl.
  • In this mode, one player becomes the Seeker and has to find and defeat the other three players.
  • After each round, another player becomes the Seeker. The game continues until everyone has had a chance to take the Seeker role.

Prop Hunt Modifier

The update also adds the Prop Hunt modifier. When players stand still, they can become part of the surrounding scenery. This allows players to hide by blending into the map. Hide and Seek with the Prop Hunt modifier will be available during the Brawl-O-Ween season.

More Brawl-O-Ween Content

The Brawl-O-Ween season will include a four-part event that reveals more about Gus’s origin story, with help from his balloon, Loony. The update also introduces a Friendly Fire modifier and adds Latin American Spanish as a new language option. There is also a small change to the invincibility respawn system. Invincibility will now be removed after a player takes an action other than simply walking.

Ultra Legendary Rarity Gets a New Name

Another small but important change affects Brawler rarity. The Ultra Legendary rarity will now simply be called Ultra. This is a naming change rather than a new rarity, making the rarity name shorter and easier to use.

Nulls Brawl World Finals in Tokyo

The Nulls Brawl World Finals are scheduled to take place in Tokyo from November 20 to November 22. According to the update, tickets are still available, but only a small number remain. Players interested in attending are encouraged to get their tickets before they sell out.
